US troops left with severe injuries after Iranian drone strike that killed 6

  • An Iranian drone attack in Kuwait resulted in the deaths of six American troops and left dozens injured, with some sustaining severe brain trauma, burns and shrapnel wounds, according to CBS News.
  • The strike on a civilian port facility contributed to at least 140 U.S. service members being injured in the first 10 days of the U.S.-Israel campaign against Iran, with eight remaining severely injured and over 30 still hospitalized.
  • Survivors described the attack's aftermath as “smoke and fire and crazy and chaos,” with one soldier recalling the drone's impact and receiving shrapnel injuries.
  • The targeted logistical support unit at Shuaiba port reportedly lacked hardened protection against explosive force, despite Pentagon claims of comprehensive safeguards.
  • Six Army Reserve troops from the 103rd Sustainment Command were identified as among the deceased, alongside a seventh service member killed in a separate strike in Saudi Arabia.
