A New Hampshire teenager helped rescue a 12-year-old boy after he saw him crash a quad bike live on TikTok.
Caden Cotnoir, 13, was watching a live stream of Trent Jarrett, 12, ride the quad bike in West Virginia when something appeared to go wrong.
Caden, who was more than 800 miles away, saw Trent crash the four-wheeler.
The 12-year-old was trapped under the bike but his live feed continued and Caden heard Trent yell out a phone number on the stream.
He was then able to contact Trent’s family who rescued the boy within 20 minutes. Trent suffered only minor cuts and bruises from the crash.
The pair met over Zoom on Monday and Trent was able to thank Caden for his quick-thinking.
Trent told local news station WMUR-TV: "I was yelling out my grandparents’ house phone number.
"I couldn’t hardly breathe... I’d just like to thank him for everything that he’s done.”
Caden added: “All of a sudden his phone goes kind of blank, you can see a little bit of light and you can just hear him yelling for help.
"It was pretty, like, sad to hear, he’s scared that he’s not going to make it out.”
Caden’s stepdad Matt Currier, who is the local police chief, said the rescue was an “Easter miracle”.
"He did what he was supposed to do and got the right people and it worked out,” said Mr Currier.
According to the TV station, Caden had been following Trent on TikTok as a result of their shared interests in fishing, hunting and 4-wheeling.
