The Savannah Morning News will stop delivering to more than 1,000 subscribers at the end of this month, and stop supplying newsstands, in 17 counties in Georgia and neighbouring South Carolina. Its owner, Morris Communications Company, explained that rising fuel prices, higher postal rates and advertiser pressures forced the paper to scale back its delivery area. (Via E&P/AP)
