US Open 2019 LIVE tennis results: Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams, Federer and Konta through

Welcome back to the Evening Standard’s live coverage of the US Open.

Dan Evans was easily defeated by the formidable Roger Federer earlier on in New York, but there was success for Johanna Konta as the British No1 eased past Zhang Shuai.

Elsewhere today, Serena Williams beat Karolina Muchova, Karolina Pliskova saw off Ons Jabeur, Ashleigh Barty made light work of Maria Sakkari and men's seventh seed Kei Nishikori was stunned by Alex de Minaur in four sets.

Late in the evening in New York, Novak Djokovic defeated Denis Kudla in straight sets to tee up a fourth round meeting with Stan Wawrinka.
