A US pop superstar is heading to Glasgow soon as his only Scottish stop on a 20th anniversary world tour.
But R&B singer John Legend’s tour name is raising eyebrows in our part of the world.
The Get Lifted tour comes to the OVO Hydro in Scotland’s biggest city on May 27.
But punters are questioning whether the All of Me singer is fully aware of the implications of that phrase for a Scottish audience.
Times columnist Kenny Farquharson tweeted: “I wonder if John Legend's management is aware of the puzzlement his tour name may cause in Glasgow.”
Get Lifted refers to the title of Legend’s debut studio album, released in 2005.
But to a Glaswegian audience it might sound a bit more like they’re being threatened with a night in the cells.
