US is main source of spam

Commtouch, an anti-spam company, says that in June, the US was the main source of global spam with 55.69%. However, China hosted 73.58% of the web sites referenced in spam messages. In the first six months of the year, the main topics were Drugs (29.53%), Mortgage/Refinance offers (9.68%) and Organ Enlargement (7.05%). "Viagra appeared in 14.1% of all spam messages -- with 9% of those messages advertising only Viagra and the remaining 5.1% selling Viagra in addition to another drug or several drugs."
