US graduates: how do you feel about the payment pause on student loans ending soon?

The vast majority of the 43 million Americans who hold a combined $1.75tn in student debt hold loans issued by the federal government, meaning most borrowers will be restarting payments in the fall.

With student loan interest and repayments kicking back in on 1 September, we’re keen to hear from US graduates how this will affect them.

We’d like to hear from borrowers how the payment pause on federal student loans has affected their finances and lives, and how having to resume repayments will impact their households.

We’re also interested to hear how people from the US feel about the fact that the Biden administration’s loan forgiveness program failed to pass.
