US embassy cables: Live Q&A with Alan Rusbridger

The Guardian today publishes the first in a series of reports based on more than 250,000 cables sent from, or to, US embassies around the world.

The state department cables were sent earlier this year to WikiLeaks, an organisation devoted to exposing secrets, and five publications - the Guardian, New York Times, Le Monde, El País and Der Spiegel - have had prior access to the material on condition that we observed common deadlines over the timings of the release.

The Guardian's editor-in-chief, Alan Rusbridger, will be live online at 4.15pm to answer your questions about this and the other WikiLeaks releases. Post a question below.
