Joe Biden will soon become the next President of the United States with Donald Trump ousted from the White House.
The news is being covered by almost every news organisation in the world with each trying to get their own unique angle on it.
But one such paper and website you wouldn't be expecting to get much attention on the race is the Clare Echo - given they are competing with the NY Times, NY Post, Guardian and so on.
But a hilarious headline has made them the talk of Twitter.
Following on from a recent social media trend, that saw the Daily Record in Scotland refer to Lionel Messi as a former Rangers target in a headline, the Clare Echo went for something similar.
The headline on their tweet, which has been liked over 8,000 times, says: "West Clare hotelier loses out in US Presidential election."
Of course Mr Trump does own a hotel in Doonbeg but it wouldn't usually be his main talking point.
And plenty of people praised the local account for a "quality tweet".
One user said that the Clare Echo "won Twitter" for the night with another labelling it a "thing of beauty".
