- United will also introduce new weekly international flights connecting Houston with Guatemala City, San Salvador, and San Pedro Sula.
- These additional flights are scheduled to commence on 6 January, with tickets becoming available for purchase from Thursday.
- Spirit Airlines, which reported a $1.2 billion net loss in 2024 and cancelled flights to 11 US cities, stated it intends to remain in business despite United's competitive moves.
