Uruguay 0-2 France, World Cup 2018 player ratings: Antoine Griezmann and Hugo Lloris excel as Les Blues march on

France booked their spot in the semi-finals of the World Cup 2018 with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Uruguay.

Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane headed France into the lead shortly before half-time.

Antoine Griezmann then doubled France’s lead with a fortuitous shot from distance, which Uruguay goalkeeper Fernando Muslera palmed into his own net.

Uruguay missed Edinson Cavani and offered little going forward throughout. France will now play either Brazil or Belgium for a place in the World Cup final.
