Urgent warning issued to Tesco shoppers about Clubcard points

Shoppers across the country have been struggling to get to the supermarket or order home delivery slots online without waiting for hours.

For some, instead of waiting around in queues for lengthy periods of time, a quick trip to a local, smaller convenience store has been the perfect way to save time.

However, this has meant that shoppers have struggled to spend their supermarket loyalty points - and risk them expiring before they’ve been used.

Tesco has now issued a statement to shoppers confirming that Clubcard points due to expire this month will be extended, reports the M.E.N.

Zoe Evans, of Tesco’s customer engagement centre, said:"We appreciate that, for many reasons, most of us aren’t shopping as often as we did before lockdown.

"As a little help from Clubcard, we want to give you more time to use your vouchers which were due to expire on 31 May 2020.

"Any vouchers issued in May 2018 will now not expire until 30 November 2020, giving you an extra 6 months to use them.

"We'll update the expiry date on your digital vouchers, and we'll continue to accept paper vouchers in-store until the extended expiry date.

"We really hope it helps, and take care."
