Millions of us take a shower each day, but we could all be making a big mistake when we step out of it.
Many of us reach for a fluffy towel after we've finished showering, but our actions might prove problematic for our skin.
It might seem natural to dry off your body and your face with the same towel, however this is a big no no for skin experts - reports Byrdie.

When you use the same towel you could actually be transferring bacteria from your body onto your face, causing breakouts and blemishes.
Dermatologist Sejal Shah said: "Bacteria, fungus, dead skin cells, oils and other debris can collect on the towel which can become the culprit of skin infections, acne flares, and irritation."
Another dermatologist Joshua Zeichner also advised caution if you're removing make-up with a towel.
He said: "If you are removing makeup from the skin that can be deposited on your towel, it should not continue to be used on other parts of the body.
"Also, if there is any visible soiling on a towel, be it dirt, makeup, or bodily fluids, you should clean it before reusing it."
Because of all these factors experts advise people to use separate towels for their face and body and to wash them at least once a week.
Where you store towels is also important, with experts advising people to keep towels in a dry location away from the bathroom to stop the towel getting damp and fungus and mould starting to develop.
