Urgent search underway to trace boy, 10, missing from Bellshill

Police are appealing for the assistance of the public to help trace a 10-year-old boy who has gone missing from Bellshill.

Jamie Dundas was last seen on Liberty Road around 6.05pm this evening.

He's described as white, 3ft in height, of slim build, with dark brown hair and when last seen was wearing a grey 'Levi' hooded top, black jogging bottoms and black trainers.

Police, including officers from the Air Support, Dog and specialist search Units, have been searching the local area since he was reported missing but so far no trace of him.

Sergeant Dougie Scott, Motherwell Police Station, said:"Jamie has not been missing before. Both his family and police have been out looking for him and have been contacting friends to try and find him but there has been no sign of him yet.

"Anyone with information as to where he is can contact Motherwell Police Station via 101 quoting reference 2861 number of 3 November 2020.”

UPDATE - Jamie Dundas has been found safe and well
