Police have confirmed that a Gateshead man who went missing from his home has been found.
Christopher Armstrong was last seen leaving his home in the Lobley Hill area shortly before 4.45pm on Monday.
Officers grew increasingly concerned for the 51-year-old's welfare and asked for help from the public to track him down.
On Tuesday afternoon, a spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "We can confirm that missing Gateshead man Christopher Armstrong has been found safe and well.
"Thanks to everyone who shared the appeal."
