Urgent search to find missing Ayrshire man as police say they're becoming 'increasingly concerned'

Police have launched an urgent search to find a missing Ayrshire man who vanished on Friday night.

Alexander Gaw disappeared at around 6.40pm in the Kilwinning Road area of Irvine.

Cops say the 37-year-old Largs man has been dealing with some personal issues and they're becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Alexander is described as white, 6ft in height and of medium build with a shaved head and a pale complexion. When he was last seen he was wearing a blue jacket with dark-blue shoulders and blue jeans.

Sergeant Allan Glass said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Alexander as it is out of character for him not to keep in contact with his family and friends. He has been dealing with some personal issues and we are carrying out a number of searches and enquiries to locate him as soon as possible to ensure that he is safe and well.

“I would ask anyone who has seen Alexander, or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact officers through 101 quoting reference 2862 of 21 January.”
