Urgent search to find man missing from home in Stanley

Police are appealing for help to find a man who went missing from his parents' home in County Durham.

Peter Birch was last seen at around 2am on Monday morning (June 7), when he left his parents' address in Stanley.

Durham Constabulary officers say they are becoming "increasingly concerned" for the missing 40-year-old.

Along with the appeal, police also shared a photo of Mr Birch to help people identify him.

Officers are now urging anyone with information that may help locate Mr Birch to get in touch with them immediately.

A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: "Have you seen Peter Birch?

"Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for the missing 40-year-old.

"Mr Birch was last seen at around 2am today when he left his parent’s address in Stanley.

"If you have any information to help locate Mr Birch call 101."
