Missing Low Fell woman Anikka Carr found safe in Seaham

A missing woman from Gateshead has been found in Seaham.

Officers were searching for Anikka Carr, 41, who went missing from her home in the Low Fell area on Thursday.

She had last been seen leaving her address on Cross Key Lanes at about 1.45pm and her friends and family were unable to contact her.

Police were carrying out a search but have now confirmed that she has been found safe in Seaham on Thursday evening.

Northumbria Police had appealed for anyone who saw Anikka to get in touch with them by phoning 101.
