Urgent search launched to trace missing Fife pensioner Paul Johnston

A major search is underway to trace a 74-year-old man who has been reported missing in St Andrews.

Paul Johnston was last seen around 10pm on Wednesday, September 15 at his home address in the Hay Fleming Avenue area of the Fife town.

Police said it is possible he has left home to go for a walk but has not yet returned home.

Officers have been carrying out searches of the area on with assistance from the Police Scotland Air Support Unit.

Paul is described as being around 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build with grey hair.

He was last known to be wearing a blue rain jacket and light coloured walking trousers.

Anyone who believes they may have seen Paul or who has any information which could help trace him should call police on 101, quoting incident 0266 of 16 September.
