Urgent search launched for missing woman in Scottish Borders

Police have launched a search for a missing woman in the Scottish Borders.

Charmain Ledsham, 62, was reported missing from Jedburgh after disappearing yesterday, January 20.

She has not been seen since 11pm at her home in the Dounehill area.

She is believed to have left the property in a dark blue Toyota Auris (reg plate SL68 CHV).

She is described as 5’10 tall, slim build with straight, collar length dyed red hair.

It is thought she may be wearing a black Adidas hooded top, black North Face jacket, black running trousers and purple coloured trainers.

Sergeant Phil Winning said: "This is completely out of character for Charmain and we are growing increasingly concerned for her safety and wellbeing. We believe she may still be travelling in a Toyota Auris and are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the car in the Borders area, or seen someone matching Charmain's description."

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 0364 of 21 January.
