Missing Scot who travelled from Wick to Inverness found safe after police search

A search has been launched for a missing Scot, who was last seen travelling in a taxi from Wick to Inverness. James Alexander Hunnisett has been reported missing from Caithness and police are urgently trying to locate him.

The 57-year-old, known as Jimmy, travelled from Wick to Longman Road, Inverness, around 1pm on Sunday, July 24. He has not been seen since and Police Scotland have launched a probe to establish his movements after this point.

Jimmy is described as being white, around 6ft tall and of stocky build, with dark thin hair. It is not currently known what he was wearing when he was last seen.

Officers say they are keen to ensure Jimmy is safe and well and have urged anyone with information to get in touch.

Anyone who believes they may have seen Jimmy or who has any other information is asked to call 101, quoting reference 1574 of 24 July.
