Urgent search launched for man missing overnight in Scots town

Cops have launched an urgent search to trace a man who vanished in East Kilbride yesterday.

John Duncan, 40, was last seen on Cornwall Way at around 6.20pm on Sunday. He was reported missing from Cambuslang but his current whereabout are unknown.

Police Scotland say concerns are growing for John's wellbeing and officers have now appealed to the public in a bid to trace him.

John is described as being 5ft1in1 tall, of a medium build, with short brown hair. When last seen, he was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and black quarter zip jumper, and had a black rucksack with him.

Inspector Pamela McFarlane from Hamilton Police station said: "John has been missing for a number of hours now, and we are becoming increasingly worried about him.

"We have a number of police resources out looking for him, and I am now looking for assistance from the public."
