Scots pensioner reported missing in Scottish Borders found safe and well by police

An urgent search has been launched for a Scots pensioner who was reported missing in the Scottish Borders.

Police Scotland officers are keen to trace David Aitken, 69, who has been reported missing from the Innerleithen area. It is believed David lives in Penicuik.

David is described as 5 foot 10 inches tall with grey hair and of an average build. When he was last seen he was wearing walking sandals, brown V necked jumper, blue and black shirt/jacket and light brown trousers.

A Police Scotland spokesperson urged anyone with information about David to come forward.

They said: "Anyone who may have seen David, or who has any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 4224 of 17/9/22"
