The family of missing County Durham dad Michael Phillips have confirmed he's been found.
The 42-year-old hadn't been seen since Wednesday afternoon when he was spotted in Sunderland after leaving the family home in South Stanley that morning.
His concerned family contacted ChronicleLive in a the hope they could reach him, as police also carried out searches.
However his daughter Paige Phillips has since confirmed that the appeal has helped to locate her dad, who she confirmed was "safe"..
"The article and all the shares on Facebook allowed someone to recognise him and thankfully they got in touch with me and we found him safe and unharmed," she said.
Thanking the public for their help, she has now requested privacy for her family.
