Urgent search for missing Scots woman as concern grows for welfare

An urgent search has been launched for a missing Scots woman from Blantyre.

Lyndsay McLauchlan was last seen in the Lochinver Crescent area around 6.50pm on Friday.

Concern is currently growing for the 45-year-old's welfare and police are urging anyone with information on her whereabouts to get in touch.

Lyndsay is described as being white, around 5ft 2, with short fair/blonde hair and speaks with a local accent.

She is believed to be wearing a black jacket with a hood, a red jumper, blue jeans and black trainers.

Inspector Ross Aitken said: “Along with Lyndsay’s family, we are growing increasingly concerned for her wellbeing as time passes.

“We’re asking for anyone with information on her whereabouts, or any possible sightings, to please call police on 101, quoting incident 3393 of 18 September.”
