Urgent search for missing Scots teen who may have travelled to London

Police are searching for a missing Scots teen who may have travelled to London as concern grows for his safety.

Abdul Sarwar, from Whitburn, was last seen around 9.30am on Monday in Bathgate.

The 16-year-old is described by police as being 5ft 9in tall, of slim build with medium length dark brown hair and a short black beard.

He was last seen wearing a black puffer style jacket, black school trousers and was carrying a black rucksack.

Inspector Kylie Barnard, of Livingston Police Station, said: “We are growingly increasingly concerned for Abdul’s wellbeing and we believe he may have travelled to London by train.

“Anyone who may have seen Abdul, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 1412 of 6 December.”
