An urgent search has been launched for a missing Scots man last seen two days ago as concern grows for his welfare.
Murray Tanner has been reported missing from his home in the Lapraik Avenue area of Muirkirk.
The 48-year-old was last seen there around 11pm on Monday but has not been seen or heard from since.
His disappearance is described as being out of character and concern is growing for his welfare.
When he left his home, Murray was driving Silver Vauxhall Crosslander VRM with the registration SD70 PUO.
He is described as being 6ft 1ins tall, well built, with fair blonde hair in a Mohican style.
At the time he went missing it is thought he was wearing a teal coloured North Face jacket.
Sergeant Mark Wason of Cumnock Police Station said: “Murray has now been missing for a couple of days and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and are keen to find him as soon as possible.
“This is very out of character for him and I would urge anyone who may have seen either Murray or the silver Vauxhall Crosslander VRM, to contact us.
"Similarly, if Murray is reading this, let us know you are safe and well.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 3850 of 24 August, 2021.
