He had been in his orange coloured Vauxhall Corsa car, which has the registration DL21 KMZ, at the time.

Tate has been described as white, around 5ft 5ins in height with short hair.

The 35-year-old habitually wears a baseball cap, a hooded top and shorts. He also has a number of piercings.

Tate is known to have links with the Falkirk, Dundee, Aberdeen areas, as well as his home area of Stirling.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "He has not been in contact with friends or family since and officers have reason to be concerned for his welfare.

"We would ask anyone who may have seen Tate or his Vauxhall Corsa to contact police on 101 quoting reference 2354 of 15 December."
