Urgent search for missing Scot after car found more than 100 miles from home

An urgent search has been launched after a young man's car was found more than 100 miles from his Scots home town.

Patryck Lipinski, from Bathgate, West Lothian had been reported missing and his a red Hyundai i20 was found in Ballachullish, in the Highlands this morning.

The 21-year-old is thought to have travelled overnight and there are increasing concerns for him.

Patryck is described as being 6ft 3in tall and of slim build with short fair/blond hair.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and Adidas trainers.

Inspector Judy Hill said: “We are concerned for Patryck’s welfare and we are working with partners from HM Coastguard, mountain rescue teams and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to carry out searches in the Ballachullish area.

“If you have information which could help , if you believe you may have seen him or if you could have dashcam or private CCTV footage which could show him or his car, please call 101, quoting incident 0799 of 5 September.”
