Urgent search for missing pensioner, 74, from Falkirk thought to be in Stirling

Police have launched an urgent appeal to trace a missing pensioner from Falkirk.

Eric Taylor, 74, was last seen in the Stirling Road area of Larbert, Falkirk at around 10.40am this morning, November 26.

Police say a number of officers are conducting searches for Eric in both Larbert and Stirling, where he is known to travel to by bus.

It’s believed he could have taken a bus towards Stirling city centre at around 11am this morning.

He also has links to the Hill Street area of St Ninians, Stirling.

Eric is described as white, around 5ft 5ins tall, and of slim build. He is believed to be wearing brown shoes, blue jeans, a green shirt and a green jacket.

Sergeant Alistair Jackson from Stirling Police Station said: “We have a number of police resources in and around the Stirling city centre area and Larbert areas this evening conducting searches and enquiries in our efforts to trace Eric.

“We’d ask anyone who may have seen him since around 11am this morning (Friday, 26 November, 2021), or a man matching his description, to contact officers as soon as possible.

“Those with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 1497 of 26 November.”
