Missing Dundee schoolgirl found safe and well by police

A teen schoolgirl who was reported missing from Dundee has been found safe and well.

Bethany Williamson, 14, was reported missing from the Fintry area of the city yesterday.

She was last seen at around 4pm on Monday, July 13 and it was believed she could have gone into the city centre.

Officers from Police Scotland launched an appeal to help find Bethany and now she has been traced.

Cops thanked the public for their assistance in finding Bethany.

A Police Scotland statement read: "Police Scotland can confirm that Bethany Williamson (14) who had been reported missing from the Fintry area of Dundee has been traced safe and well.

"The public are thanked for their assistance."
