Urgent recalls at four Dublin SuperValu stores over 'presence of metal' in food

SuperValu have issued an urgent recall notice for a wide range of it's bakery products due to the potential presence of metal.

A statement from the Food Safety Authority of Ireland confirmed the news this afternoon.

It read: "As a precaution, SuperValu is recalling some batches of in-store bakery products listed in the table below from four of its stores only."

The stores in question are:

  • SuperValu Lucan,
  • SuperValu Knocklyon
  • SuperValu Northside
  • SuperValu Kilmainham

This is due to the potential presence of a piece of metal. Point-of-sale recall notices are being displayed in the relevant stores.

The following items are affected:

  • 4 x Apple Slices (best before date 25/7/21)
  • 4 x Carrot Slices (best before date 25/7/21)
  • 4 x Chocolate Slices (best before date 26/7/21)
  • 4 x Toffee Slices (best before date 26/7/21)
  • 4 x Lemon Slice (best before date 26/721)
  • 4 x Rhubarb and Custard Slice (best before date 24/7/21)
  • 4 x Jam and Coconut Slice (best before date 26/7/21)
  • 3 x Chocolate Biscuit Slices (best before date 27/7/21)
  • 4x Brownie Slices (best before date 26/7/21)
