Scots supermarket customers have been warned over two popular product ranges after The Food Standards Agency (FSA) put a food recall alert.
The recall comes after salmonella and pieces of blue rubber were discovered in certain products on sale in supermarkets across Scotland, according to Glasgow Live.
Shoppers who have picked up any SFS chicken items or Asda 's Little Kids Pasta Bolognese and Little Kids Spaghetti Bolognese have been asked to consult the FSA website before eating them.
Food brand SFS are their entire line of chicken products, as well as an additional product, Little Hill Farm Chicken Breast Fillets, due to the fact that salmonella has been found in some of their product ranges.

While Asda is recalling its Asda Little Kids Pasta Bolognese and Little Kids Spaghetti Bolognese after it was revealed pieces of blue rubber had been discovered in some packs making them unsafe to eat.
The SFS recall includes their SFC Crispy Dippers, SFC Crispy Dippers (Halal), SFC Southern Fried Chicken Strips, SFC Southern Fried Chicken Strips (Halal), SFC Mega Box, SFC Southern Fried Chicken Burgers, SFC Poppets, SFC Poppets (Halal), SFC Take-Home Boneless Bucket, SFC Take-Home Boneless Box, SFC Take-Home Boneless Box (Halal), and SFC Chicken Nuggets in different pack sizes.
All batch codes are affected with best before dates up to and including 30 of June 2022. Products after this best before date are not affected.
According to the FSA, the business put additional food safety controls in place in November 2020 to improve the safety of their products. They have now taken the precautionary step of recalling all products manufactured before the new and additional controls were put in place.
Meanwhile the Asda recall for their Asda Little Kids Pasta Bolognese and Little Kids Spaghetti Bolognese products notes that the presence of the blue rubber presents a choking hazard making these products unsafe to eat.
These products have passed their use by dates but are suitable for home freezing, and customers may have these products and date codes in their freezers.
