There has been an urgent recall of biscuit product sold in Costa Coffee stores nationwide in Ireland.
There is undeclared egg in Jammy Rudolph Shortcake Biscuit which means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.
The product has a best before date: 07 Jan 2021.
Costa Coffee is recalling Jammy Rudolph Shortcake because it contains egg which is not mentioned on the label.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland said: "Egg is present in the implicated batch of Jammy Rudolph Shortcake Biscuit, however it is not declared on the label.
"This may make the affected batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of egg or its constituents.
"The implicated batch was sold in Costa Coffee stores."
If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to egg do not eat it.
Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
