The Food Safety Authority of Ireland have issued an urgent recall warning for a popular product from Spar.
Customers who bought a batch of the Spar Basil Pesto are at risk as it was mislabelled.
The product contains milk - which wasn't on the list of ingredients on the back of the affected batch.
As such, it presents an allergen risk.
The affected batch information is as follows:
Item : Spar Basil Pesto
Pack size: 125g
Use by : 28.09.2021
An FSAI spokesperson said: "The implicated batch of Spar Basil Pesto was mis-packed with the incorrect back of pack label. The product contains milk which is not mentioned in the list of ingredients.
"This may make the batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of milk or its constituents."
