Urgent recall for popular dinner product sold in Tesco over safety concerns

The Food Safety Authority Ireland has issued an urgent recall notice for the popular Tesco Green Thai Style Sauce.

The supermarket recalled the item after discovering the potential presence of milk.

Milk is not declared on the packaging in the list of ingredients and so could be consumed by someone who is lactose intolerant or allergic.

A statement from the Food Safety Authority Ireland said: “Tesco is recalling the above batch of Tesco Green Thai Style Sauce due to the possible presence of milk.

“Milk is not declared on the list of ingredients.

“This may make the affected batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of milk or its constituents.”

The affected batch is identified as Tesco Green Thai Style Sauce; pack size: 180g; Use by: 21/11/2021.

A separate food recall notice was issued for a batch of Donnybrook Fair Tipperary Brie on November 5th.

The recall was issued for the batch with the use-by date of 17/11/2021 of Donnybrook Fair Tipperary Brie as the E. Coli levels detected indicated a possible hygiene issue and the potential for the presence of harmful bacteria.

Retailers were requested to remove the implicated batch from sale, and consumers were advised not to eat the implicated batch.
