Urgent recall for high chair which 'could injure child'

A high chair sold by major retailer Argos is being urgently recalled because it could fall over while a child is strapped in - potentially causing serious injury.

Argos has warned parents who have bought the chair to stop using it immediately and return it to the store it was bought from for a full refund.

The Cuggl Mushroom High Chair is being recalled, according to The Mirror .

An Argos statement reads: "We want to bring your attention to a potential safety issue with the Cuggl Mushroom High Chair, catalogue number 7094143.

"Testing has shown that if a child leans sideways in the high chair there is a risk that the chair could topple over, injuring the child and damaging the high chair."

Argos added: "If you have a Cuggl Mushroom High Chair, STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY and return it to an Argos store" for a full refund of £29.99/€37.99. You will not need a receipt."

The store said the safety of customers is it's "highest priority".

"Please be assured that no other highchair is affected by this issue. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue."

If you have any questions or concerns, Argos said you can call them free on 0800 0113462 in the UK and 1800946744 in the Republic of Ireland.
