Police have launched a reappeal to find Arthur Campbell who has been missing from his Renfrew home since Thursday morning.
The 54-year-old was said to have been going through a "tough time" recently and had seemed upset prior to his disappearance.
Officers now know that he has he has travelled to Killlingholme in North Lincolnshire, England.
Arthur was last seen at around 7am on Thursday, June 20 at a property on Western Park Place, Renfrew.
He is described as around 6 ft, well built with a bald head and tanned complexion. He has tattoos on his hands and when he was last seen he was wearing a black jacket and black jeans.
Sergeant Brian Nesbitt, Renfrew Police Office, said: "Arthur has been going through a tough time recently and seemed a bit upset when he was last seen.
"We now know that he has travelled to Killingholme in a grey coloured Renault Laguna, registration YD61 LTX. We just want to make sure he is okay and would appeal to anyone who may be in this area to look out for him. We would urge anyone who has seen him to get in touch with police.
"Arthur, if you see this, please contact us to let us know you are okay."
