Urgent reappeal for missing Drumchapel man Stephen McPhail as family grow increasingly concerned

Police have launched a reappeal to find missing man Stephen McPhail, who has been missing from his Drumchapel for more than two days.

The family of the 43-year-old have described his disappearance as "completely out of character" and urged for him let them know he is safe.

Officers have previously asked for dash-cam footage from the public in an effort to trace Stephen, who is known as Stef.

The last sighting of Stephen was around 9.25am on Saturday walking towards Dumbarton on the A82 Great Western Road near to Auchentoshan Distillery.

He is described as 6ft 2, of a stocky build, bald with brown eyes and when last seen he was wearing a grey Adidas zipper jacket with a hood, black cargo trousers and training shoes.

Inspector Paul Daley at Partick Police Station said: "As time goes on Stephen’s family are becoming increasingly concerned for him, it is completely out of character for him to disappear like this.

"We have since found a sighting of him walking along the A82 out of the city and we are appealing for anyone who was driving along the A82 between 9 am and 10 am with dash-cam footage to come forward. You may have passed him without realising.

"Stephen, if you see this, we would ask you to come forward and let us know you are okay."

Anyone with any information asked to contact Police via 101 quoting incident number 5396 of Saturday 15 June 2019.
