Ayrshire man who vanished overnight sparking urgent search found safe and well by police

A police appeal for help from the public to find a Saltcoats man who vanished overnight has ended in success after he was traced safe and well.

Craig Millar was last seen at around 5.50pm on Thursday, April 15, at his home address in Saughtree Avenue.

His disappearance was described as ‘completely out of character’ by officers who said they were becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Craig, who drives a grey Range Rover car, was described as being around 5ft 4in tall, of a stocky build and has tattoos on his arms.

He is bald with beard stubble and was last seen wearing dark blue jeans and a dark blue jumper.

Police Scotland confirmed that Craig had been found 'safe and well' on Friday morning.

A force spokesperson said: "Police Scotland can confirm that missing man Craig Millar from Saltcoats has been traced safe and well.

"We would like to thank the members of the public who assisted with our appeal."
