A missing man from Gateshead has been found safe and well, police say.

Northumbria Police previously shared an appeal on its social media page along with a photo of Dylan urging anyone with information to get in touch.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We're pleased to update that missing Gateshead man Dylan has been found safe and well.

"A huge thanks to everyone who played their part in this search - including everyone who shared our appeal, our officers, staff, partners and brilliant volunteers including Mountain Rescue.

"It was a fantastic team effort you're all #TeamNP!"
