Urgent police appeal to find missing man with dementia last seen in Bolton

UPDATE: MR HAMER HAS BEEN FOUND SAFE AND WELL

Police have launched an urgent appeal to find a missing man with dementia.

David Hamer, 79, was last seen on Blenheim Road in Bolton this morning (June 16).

Further enquiries have identified David walking along Moorfield Grove in Tonge Moor at 4:08pm.

He is described as a white male, 5"8 tall, medium build, with short grey hair and a bald patch, blue eyes and has a Bolton accent.

He suffers with dementia and police are concerned for his whereabouts.

Mr Hamer is believed to have been last seen wearing a black and white shirt, blue denim jacket with a black leather waistcoat, blue denim jeans and black slip on leather shoes.

CCTV has captured David walking along Moorfield Grove in the Bolton area this afternoon.

GMP have released an image of David in the hope that someone might recognise him.

"Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about David and want to make sure he is safe and well," GMP Bolton South wrote on Facebook.

Anyone with information about David’s whereabouts should contact police on 0161 856 5821.
