Missing 19-year-old Jessica Shaw-Nickson from Berwick found safe and well, police say

Officers have said a missing 19-year-old woman from Berwick has been found safe and well after a police appeal.

Jessica Shaw-Nickson was reported missing at about 11.30pm on Wednesday after leaving an address in the Tweedmouth area two hours earlier.

Loved ones had not heard from Jessica since and officers were growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.

Northumbria Police said she may have travelled towards the Jedburgh, Kelso and Coldstream areas of the Scottish Borders and appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.

However, shortly after police issued an appeal, officers confirmed that they found Jessica safe and well.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "We're delighted to be able to update you that the missing Berwick woman has been found safe and well.

"A huge thanks to everyone who shared the appeal - we really appreciate it!"
