Boy, 12, who disappeared after riding his mountain bike found safe and well

A 12-year-old boy who was last seen riding his mountain bike, sparking a missing persons appeal, has been found safe and well.

Charlie O'Brien was last seen at around 4.20pm yesterday afternoon in John Lee Park, Altrincham, Greater Manchester.

He was riding his black Carrera mountain bike, police said.

Charlie is described as having brown hair, 4'11 tall and of medium build.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a white Adidas top, white shorts and black Puma pumps.

Greater Manchester Police said on their Facebook page: "Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of Charlie and want to make sure he's found safe and well."

An appeal tweeted by the force says: "Can you help police find missing 12y/o boy Charlie O'Brien?

"He was last seen around 4.20pm today (20 June) in John Lee Park riding a black Carrera mountain bike."

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Charlie O'Brien should contact police immediately on 0161 856 7809 or 0161 856 9169 quoting incident 2936 of 20/06/21.

Alternatively, details can be passed on anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
