Urgent police appeal over 'high-risk' missing man who was last seen in Hyde

An urgent appeal has been issued by police trying to find a 'high-risk' missing man.

Grant Davey, 63, was last seen leaving his home address in Hyde, in Tameside, at around 2.30pm today (February 8).

He is described as a white male, with short receding hair and a clean shaven face.

He was wearing a two-toned grey North Face jacket, blue jeans and brown walking boots when he was last seen.

Police say they are 'urgently' trying to locate him and describe him as 'high-risk'.

Officers are asking people to contact them 'as a matter of urgency' if they spot him.

The appeal is being circulated on social media along with a picture of Mr Davey.

In a post on the GMP Tameside South Facebook page, an officer said: "We are concerned for the welfare of Grant Davey born from the Hyde area and are urgently trying to locate him to ensure he is safe and well.

"Grant was last seen at 14:30 today (08/02/19) leaving his home address in the Hyde area of Tameside.

"He is described as a White male, 63 Yrs old, short receding hair, clean shaven and wearing a two toned Grey North face Jacket, blue jeans and brown walking boots.

"If you sight Grant please make contact with us as a matter of urgency quoting Log 1771 08/02/2020. Where possible keep him in sight and a patrol with be with you soonest."
