Urgent plea to help find missing boy not seen for weeks

An urgent appeal has been issued to help find a teenage boy from Bury who has not been seen for 23 days.

Khalid Olanrewaju was last seen in Birkenhead, on the Wirral, Merseyside, on the evening of Wednesday, March 24.

The 17-year-old is described as black, of slim build and 6ft tall, with short, dark brown hair in an afro-style cut.

Khalid was seen wearing a black coat with a fur hood, black tracksuit bottoms, and black trainers with green stripes on March 24.

Greater Manchester Police says officers are becoming increasingly concerned about the teenager, who also has links to Manchester and the West Midlands.

The force is now making an urgent appeal to the public for help finding the youngster, with Khalid having not been seen for more than three weeks.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Khalid Olanrewaju, aged 17, was last seen in the Birkenhead area of Merseyside at around 9.15pm on Wednesday, March 24 2021.

"He is described as a black man of a slim build and 6ft in height. He has short, dark brown hair in an afro-style cut.

"Khalid was last seen wearing a black coat with a fur hood, black tracksuit bottoms, and black trainers with green stripes.

"Khalid has links to Manchester and the West Midlands.

"Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about Khalid and want to make sure he is safe and well."
