Urgent plea to find former police worker not seen since Christmas Eve

Police are asking for the public's help as they urgently trace the whereabouts of a missing former colleague.

Manchester Police are appealing for help to find 43-year-old Elizabeth Howe, who they say formerly worked for the force.

Ms Howe was last seen on Grafton Street in Heaton Norris, Stockport, on Christmas Eve.

Greater Manchester Police have issued an urgent appeal and say officers are 'becoming increasingly concerned for Elizabeth and want to make sure she is safe and well'.

Manchester Evening News reports Ms Howe is white, around 5ft 8in and of a slim build. She has brown, shoulder-length hair and brown eyes.

She may be wearing a grey knee-length hoodie- or a jumper - with jeans.

"Elizabeth may be travelling with her boyfriend in a car believed to be a blue Ford Focus which was seen in the Glencoe area of Scotland on Wednesday 1 January 2020," the force added in a statement.

Detective Chief Inspector Jude Holmes said on Twitter: "Please share far and wide - Liz is an ex-colleague and there are serious concerns for her."

Anyone with information about Elizabeth’s whereabouts is asked to contact police on 0161 856 7677 or 101.
