Urgent hunt launched for missing Scots youth, 14, amid 'concerns for welfare'

Cops have launched an urgent hunt for a missing Scots teenager amid 'concerns for his welfare'.

Jamie Hogg, 14, was reported missing from his home in Edinburgh.

The youth was last seen around 1pm on Tuesday in the Moredun area of the capital.

Police are growing concerned and have issued a picture and description of the teenager to help trace him.

A statement issued from Edinburgh division this morning reads: "Jamie Hogg was last seen around 1pm on the Tuesday, 3 August, 2021, in the Moredun area and there are concerns for his welfare.

"Jamie is described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall and has short brown hair.

"Anyone who may have seen Jamie since this time, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident 3363 of 2 August, 2021."
