Urgent hunt launched for missing 14-year-old Scots schoolgirl

An urgent hunt has been launched for a missing teen girl after she disappeared from home.

Sarah Flint, 14, was reported missing from the Inverness area.

The schoolgirl has not been seen since Thursday at around 8.50pm in the Merkinch area of the Highland capital.

Cops are growing concerned for her wellbeing and have issued a description in a bid to trace Sarah.

A statement issued this morning by Highlands and Islands police division has urged anyone with information to come forward.

It reads: "Police Scotland is appealing for information to help trace 14-year-old Sarah Flint who has been reported missing from the Inverness area.

"Sarah was last seen on Thursday, 12 August, 2021 at 8.50pm in the Merkinch area of Inverness.

"She is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, slim build with long dyed red/pink coloured hair. She was last seen wearing a black top, black leggings and black shoes.

"Anyone with information that may help us locate Sarah, can contact Police via 101 or via the contact us form on our website, quoting incident number 3836 of 12 August."
