A teenage mum and her one-year-old baby boy are at the centre of an urgent police appeal.

Baby Leighton Jones, one, and his mum Maisey Roberts, 19 have not been seen since Tuesday after the pair were last spotted outside a Merseyside supermarket.

Police say Maisey was last seen pushing her baby boy in "an old fashioned pram" around 5pm close to Tesco in Hawthorne Road in Litherland.

Police say they are urgently trying to trace them and issued pictures of both mum and son in the hope they can be found as soon as possible. People are asked to dial 999 if they spot them.
